        Mining engineering discipline is one of the first batch of "211 Project" key construction disciplines, mining engineering laboratory is the provincial key laboratory; At present, it has been built into a domestic first-class innovative research base with a construction area of 3100 square meters and a 10000 ton loading system and other new teaching instruments and scientific research and testing equipment (with a new equipment value of more than 20 million yuan).

        The national key discipline of mining engineering has strong research force and outstanding innovation. Since the 11th five year plan, mining engineering has undertaken 2 major and key national natural science funds, more than 20 NSFC projects, 1 863 and 973 projects each, 5 national key scientific and technological projects, more than 20 international cooperation projects and hundreds of provincial and ministerial level projects and horizontal projects. It has played an important role in the construction of key projects in revitalizing the northeast old industrial base. More than 10 invention patents and 5 software with independent intellectual property rights have been approved.         The mining engineering discipline has an academic echelon of rigorous research, unity and cooperation, and full of innovative spirit.         2、 Doctoral program of mineral processing engineering
        Approval time of doctoral program
        In 1984, the Department of mineral processing engineering of Northeastern University was approved as a doctoral program.
        Development history and achievements
        The discipline of mineral processing engineering of Northeast University was founded in 1949, and it is the first discipline of mineral processing engineering in China. In 1981 and 1984, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council successively approved the right to confer master's degree and doctor's degree. Since then, in 1991, this discipline established a post doctoral mobile station jointly with other mining engineering disciplines and safety engineering and technology disciplines in our institute. 2005 was rated as the national excellent post doctoral research mobile station. Since the approval of the doctoral program of mineral processing engineering, more than 120 doctoral students have been trained.
        Since the establishment of the doctoral program, the program has undertaken more than 130 scientific research projects, with a total funding of more than 40 million yuan, of which the funds of various fund projects and national projects account for more than 60%. Among the scientific research and teaching tasks completed, the discipline has won 3 National Awards, 30 provincial and ministerial awards, and 22 national invention patents.         Status quo of doctoral programs
        Relying on the discipline of mineral processing engineering, the doctoral program became a national key discipline (cultivation) and a key discipline of Liaoning Province in 2007. At present, the discipline also has "Liaoning mineral material engineering technology research center" and "Shenyang high efficiency processing and utilization engineering technology research center".
        There are 18 teachers in the doctoral program, including 5 professors, 6 associate professors, 3 lecturers, 4 teaching assistants, and 1 outstanding talent of the Ministry of education in the new century. There are 4 doctoral supervisors in the University and 3 part-time doctoral supervisors outside the University. Academician Wang Dianzuo, academician sun Chuanyao and Professor Liu jiongtian are part-time doctoral supervisors of this discipline. At present, about 15-20 doctoral students are enrolled in the doctoral program every year.
        At present, the doctoral program has undertaken 12 national level research projects, 6 provincial and ministerial level projects, and many horizontal projects, with research funds of more than 10 million yuan. The calcium sulfate whisker, nano calcium carbonate, digital pulse demagnetizer, electromagnetic separator and other products and equipment have been industrialized.
        Main characteristics and advantageous discipline direction
           1. Efficient processing and utilization of mineral materials. This research direction mainly focuses on the synthesis of mineral materials, preparation of ultrafine powder, surface modification and application of materials, and related basic research work, including the preparation, processing and application technology of nano materials, mineral whiskers and environmental mineral materials.
            2. The key technology of beneficiation and metallurgy of lean and fine iron ore resources. This paper mainly studies the basic research work related to the separation technology and equipment of lean, fine and refractory iron ores.
           3. High efficiency and ecological utilization technology of mineral resources. This paper mainly studies the basic research work of resource and environment microbial technology, efficient utilization of mine solid waste and mine environment treatment.
           4. Crystal chemistry principle of mineral flotation. In order to solve the separation problem of complex polymetallic ores and magnesium bearing nonmetallic minerals, the relationship between the floatability and surface characteristics of metallic and nonmetal minerals and the chemical characteristics of minerals, the design and synthesis of new flotation reagents are studied.
            5. Mineral processing simulation and automatic control technology. This paper mainly studies the simulation, simulation and automatic control technology of grinding classification, flotation, magnetic separation and gravity separation.
        International exchange and cooperation

        Safety science and engineering postdoctoral mobile station
        At present, there are 3 doctoral supervisors and 3 professors.
        Northeast University unifies, synthesizes and systematizes the theory and technology of safety science originally scattered in various engineering disciplines, and has formed the following six research directions:
            1. Safety science theory, system safety technology;

        As a key discipline of "211 Project" and "985 Project" in school of resources and civil engineering of Northeast University, safety engineering discipline has obtained accumulated investment of more than 10 million yuan in recent years, including laboratory construction, specialty construction, talent introduction, and special subject research. The discipline adheres to the combination of frontier exploration of safety discipline with national economic construction, and is based on the basic research and application development of safety science and technology. In the past five years, it has undertaken more than 60 scientific research projects of various types, such as national key scientific research projects, science and technology plans, and National Natural Science Foundation; It has published 406 academic papers, including more than 160 times included by SCI, EI and ISTP, and 12 monographs and textbooks have been published; It has won 1 second prize of national science and technology progress award, 14 provincial and ministerial level awards, and 6 national invention and utility model patents.

        Geological resources and geological engineering Post doctoral mobile station
        Northeast University has a long history of running geology.         The post doctoral station of mechanics of Northeast University was established in 1985. Has the engineering mechanics doctor's degree, the master's degree.
